A track from one of my favorite bands today.  I don't get to see many live shows, but I -have- seen Clutch play a show, and I'll tell you this here and now : any opportunity I have to see them, I'm going to so totally do that.

Let's blues it up this morning.  I haven't the foggiest who originally laid down this song, I'd have to look it up and I'm not moved to do so at the moment time.  But in the big picture, I don't think that's necessarily the important thing. It's been done by so many artists that it's down to whose interpretation you prefer.

My first exposure to it was Jonny Lang's take on it. There's an interesting guy to read up on, by the way. I saw him play live at a BBQ festival years ago.  Amazing, even then at such a young age.

The First Cut - "Slave Girl" by The Goo Goo Dolls

Ever get a song stuck in your head? Of course you have. It happens to me all the time.  I've decided to start documenting them, for the pure unmitigated fun of it.

I first heard this song in college. My roommate had it on one of his many CDs and it came to light during one of our many music jam sessions.

Fun stuff.  And today that's what's stuck in my head.  Come back tomorrow and see what new thing has burrowed into my grey matter.
